Church camp - 4th Training Camp

I used to be in a church society...

Now, no longer active, but i valued all the values and experience i've learnt

and for this camp, is to come back and help the new team.

We have a Annual Church camp. It's call the Youth Rally.

I was part of the team. Last weekend, I went back to church to join this church camp,

to brainstorm, to help out as much as i can, to imput new ideas and enjoy the fellowship.

I call this a vacation/to enjoy weekend.

It was a great weekend! Fellowship with old team mates (not age old, experience old)

hehe... Catch up with each otehr prayed, talk about the old experiences...

it's not as perfect as you think it is, you think earning money is fun??

It ain't FUN at all. Keeping everyone satisfied is not an easy task.

Keep customers and supplier happy are the toughest thing to do.

I know it's been very long that i have not update this blog.

Well, in these few days. I look leave from my job!

(just because i got 7 days extra leave and my company does not allow me to bring forward, so i'm being a good employee and taking all the leave with me without leaving them behind :P .... It's a BENEFIT! so I take the chance :D)

I really miss my blog. it's like dust all over it. Picture will be up soon :)

Stay tune... I know not many ppl realy my blog! but it doesn't matter! the next time when i read back! it brings back memories! just like I look back at my Archive!

I always wanted a pussy cat. the one with alot of fur. But I can't have one, because my parents does not permits it.

There's alot of things we are unable to bring pets around in Malaysia.

There's many restriction. But if there's a chance, I would like to go up for an adventure with my cat!!

On a hot air balloon.

I've never been up for a hot air balloon ride.

If possible up on a hot air balloon with pussy cat and my family. It will be fun adventure.

Round across Kuala Lumpur! From Dataran Merdeka, to KLCC , KL Tower, Bukit Bintang, Istana Negara, Petaling Street and back to Dataran Merdeka.

It will be a great experience.

life it's all going smoothly. turning 21 soon.
yeap in just few days more.
Working life has never stopped.
Annual paid LEAVE being very precious now.
I need a bigger paycheque. :)
i'm living paycheque to paycheque.

sigh... our value of the money are getting lower and price of objects/food are getting higher.
sometimes even when you graduate as a degree holder, you may have to live paycheque to paycheque too.

I would like to transform into optimus prime, to save and protect the world from decepticons. I would invent a special bomb shaped liked a card and it will detact any Decepticons. after detecting them, it will auto activate into a bomb that triggers in 2 minutes.

Before the decepticons arrive, the placement of the bomb are ready before they arrive.

Alternative is, when they are attaching, the bombs can be tossed over by the autobots to the decepticons body and it will trigger immediately.

It just poped up on my mind about this when i started having hick-ups on me this morning. I was thinking.. what are the solutions to cure hick-ups?

I have compile a few solutions:

1. Drink water
2. Sip water 8 times.
3. frighten the person who is having hick-ups
4. Hold your breath as long as you can.

What are the other solutions? why do we follow this solutions?

8 Job Hunting Disasters (In Career Fairs)

I’ve just completed my weekend in the recent Jobstreet Career Fair which took place at Midvalley Exhibition Center. While the crowd was huge, I was a little dissapointed with the quality of candidates that turned up to the fair. I guess the many critics about the lack of quality amongst our graduates may be true. However, this time around I felt it was more attitude, energy, courage and eagerness that I saw was lacking rather than skills or knowledge (which can’t be judge from first impression).

Here I’d just like to share some of the top 8 disasters I saw during the career fair. If you’re currently looking for a job and attending some career fairs soon, make sure you avoid these traps:

Bringing Parents Along – This is definitely a big no-no. I’m not sure the real reason these candidates are bringing their parents along. As body-guards? To interview the interviewer? As confidence booster? Whatever the reasons, if a candidate still needs to be babysit by the parents through the career fair, I’d be concerned about needing to babysit this candidate when he/she becomes an employee (or their “agent” a.k.a. “parents” turns up in office one day to argue on behalf of them). If you really need a confidence booster, bring a close friend along; I guess that’s fine (but do read the 3rd point below.
Sending “Agents” - If you think the above is bad enough, there are those who would not even turn up for the career fair. The parents come for it instead and says “Can I have more information about your company? I’m not asking for myself”. To top it up, some goes the extra mile to say “My son/daughter is still asleep at home”! What kind of impression is this giving to the potential employer? This applies to husbands or wives who tries to apply on behalf as well. Making a point to be present is the least of initiative required. And if you’re planning to encourage your child / husband / wife, do them a favour by not doing this part of the role on behalf; they will be unlikely to get the job because of you.
The Lovey-Dovey couple – Yes, it’s definitely confidence boosting to know that there’s someone near you who cares; that may be the reason why some couples would bring their other half along. That is fine as long as you avoid being the Lovey-Dovey couple in front of potential employers. We’re here to look at job match and it’s not a bridal fair. Show your ability to be independent because we difinitely are not looking at you bringing your other half when you start working or risk you needing to be on the phone or sms half the time because of the need to be in contact with your other half even during work hours. Oh yes … one more part – If you’re the one applying, talk for yourself and make sure your other half keeps quiet.
Dress-up or Dress-down – Interesting that I’ve got to mention both dress-up and dress-down? To keep it simple – Dress appropriately. Even if the Career Fair took place in a shopping complex where you used to go in shorts, make it a point to at least put on a pair of jeans and polo t-shirt. On the other hand, Career Fair is not a platform for fashion show. We’re not expecting to be impressed with candidates appearing in tuxedo or see-through dress either.
“I’ll take anything you have …” - Doesn’t that sound a little too desperate? Don’t expect the exhibitors to find you a job if you do not know what you like to do in the first place. Before going for the fair, ask yourself “what are my interest?”, “what are my dream jobs, realistically?” and “what are my selling point?”. It’s better to ask “Do you have a vacancy in …” rather than “What vacancy do you have?” Many may have advised fresh graduates not to be choosy, but I’d like to advise that selective and choosy are 2 different things.

Oopss... been busy with my work now, i barely have time to blog.
Dear readers,
I'm currently working full time and studying part time, so i barely have time to go online also, as tuesday and thurday night is full and i only left monday, wednesday and friday night and weekends. I have assignments to juggle and my precious BF.

There's alot to update here. I'll find one day to update everything. i love my blog, dn't want it to die, i put alot of hardwork in it. it has alot of memories to me.
Just need to find some time to do it, maybe during my study leave, i'll find a day to update everything one shot of the past few months :)

Chinese New Years Eve

On this day, i would have to go to work in the morning.. :(
because i don't have enough leave for the whole year, so i had to sacrifice my festive holiday leave.
and hence, i had to work, where everyone is on leave.
there's only aroun 10 people in this big ole office.
And the sad part is, the computer/company system is still very slow.
That's why i had time to write this post on my blog.
It is slow until i got time to log on the blogger to post it.
It's boring today. i don't have the mood to work, as many of them are not here.
and hardly has progress, because everyone is on the holiday mood.
The good thing about today is, the roads in Kuala Lumpur is smooth ALL THE WAY.
No jam, no traffic police, smooth drive all the way.
I normally take 1 hour and 15 minutes to come to work. today.. 20 minutes!
MIRACLE!!!
How i wish my company can declare half day for today. :)
i'll be super super happy!!

We had this HUGE secret that we didn't tell her. :)

The birthday girl was so sad and complain to her friends that her

boyfriend didn't do anything for her birthday, not even spending time with her.

It was exact date of her birthday! 20th November.

We held it in App Square Karaoke, In Sunway Pyramid.

The BOYFRIEND booked a private karaoke room for her SURPRISE party for the

WHOLE NIGHT!

let me explain how can that long stick of rose can fit into his tiny pocket.

At the beginning: We help Eric buy a nice rose for his girlfriend,

as he forgotten to bring his paper roses that he bought for her.

the interesting part: as he was looking and playing with the flower,

it was almost the time where the birthday girl suppose to arrive :)

he accidentally broke the flower into 2, and the snap part was at the edge of the stem.

which is very close to the flower, so he can't give that flower to her.

He does his drama reaction! O.O look. and ran out and bought another flower

Hence you see the one below, where he handed the flower to the birthday girl.

and what happen to that poor flower he broke?

Wonder Girls was in Town

Yes they were in town and they gave us a well heck of a performance!

It was on the 11th of december 2010. Saturday at Arena of Stars, Genting Highlands!

These 2 are the opening performance :)

There are actually quite good except the guy :(

The opening! OOOHH!! All so HOT!

The concert was really good, as the dance and sing at the same time

The stage was nicely deco, with all the props like, lightings, fire effects

and also the blasting effects.

All quite organise, but the sound system, was abit off at some parts,

as the mic was too soft and their voices can't be heard on the loud speaker.

They have many wardrobe changes, and also each of them,

did a rendition of their favourite english song.

They performed their famous songs like 'HOT', 'Nobody'. '2 Different Tears' and more

Both of this pictures are the scene where each of them did a solo of their favourite

english song. They were pretty good, but their pronounceation

wasn't that great, but they hit the right notes at the right time :)

They brought out their back up dancers too. and it was a blast

watching them dance and sing at the same time.

It was good for their singing as you can hear that they actually sing live,

as the voices doesn't sound pre recorded in advance

The finale and encore performance! 'Nobody!'

in this whole concert, they did nobody song for 3 times.

first time was the acoustic version, the second time was the english version

the last version was the korean version where everyone applaud.

Leo Day With Orphans

The International Leo Day it's on the 5th of December every year.

This year my club and I have decided to celebrate it differently.

We decided to celebrate it with the Orphans.

One of the act that i don't want it to happen again is CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE!!

A small request from my friend.
here's the story!
my friend who studies in UK, wanted to make his gf happy
as she was really unhappy and down that day,
he asked me for a favor, if i could buy her 3 roses to make her happy on the next day
and so i agreed!
the next day i went to the florist in the evening and buy the flowers!

after that went to her house and knock on the door! (no one home)
i left and went there during night time around 8.00pm
went there, surprise her with the flowers and her smile were priceless
she is very happy indeed!
after the surprise, i left and i got a text message on my phone from UK
she was really happy till she cried :) *awwww*
how amazing is that:
he's so loving to his gf
he may be far, but he try to make ways to make his gf no matter where he is
and there is no reason why a long distance relationship CAN'T WORK!
it's how much effort to make IT work!

I have a girl friend who always thinks she is not thin enough for everyone. She always saying she's not good enough and always saying that you need to be skinner to fit into those beautiful clothes. She keeps repeating it and even though I advise her that she's beautiful just the way she is, she doesn't listen. She decides to go on diet, skip meals even eat less, and tat's not cool with me. Girl, even tough you are not thin as me or the all the other 'perfect' women out there, you are still amazing and beautiful. Don't let those media perceived 'perfect' to be TALL, THIN, FAIR, BIG EYES, LONG LEGS.. ETC let you down.

To all the women out there who this that they are not pretty enough, not thin enough, not tall enough or thinks that you boobs is small. Please don't make your self suffer by eating less, or do some surgery to change the mistake. Nobody is a MISTAKE! everyone is here for a reason and everyone is beautiful in your own ways. Some HOT guy may not love you, because you're not pretty, but some decent nice guy would love you for the way you are. You don't want someone to love you just because of your looks right? They must love WHO you are... INSIDE!

I have heard many girls take pills and tried all kinds of medicine to get them to slim down, so that they will look good. Taking pills and medicine are not good, as they may have side effects, not now but in future. And if inpatient, they take too many as prescribed and end up being in the hospital, traumatize or worse it might take your life away.

Why risk all these for a negative perception??

If someone Says "You're FAT" stand up and say... "I'm FAT so what? At least I love myself more than you do"

If someone Says "You should get your boobs done" you should say "Plastics are FAKE, Mine's REAL!"

And if by any chance anyone put you down and made your self esteem go low, DON'T LET THEM!! because they are NOT worth it. People who worth to be with are they ones who cares and accepts the way you are. Get back up and stand up tall in what you believe in.

I wish to win a contest, so that i could go to watch fashion show on Saturday! I LOVE MIFW!!

I went to Pavillion to watch the Melium Group's Gala, with Emilio Pucci and Marchesa's runway show, even though i didn't get to go in, but it was really nice experience to watch the show from level 1.

Farah Khan, had a 40 looks full runway show, it was breathtaking, her design were superb and were better than some of the London fashion designers. I'm really proud of her. She's done so much to bring the Melium group such success. Something to be proud of being a Malaysian?

All their works are fabulous and I hope I could go for the last day's show for MIFW! I love fashion, and it has always been a part of me. Thanks to Maxis to sponsor such wonderful event.

Malaysia's Fashion Industry is growing bit by bit, and it has grow tremendously over the years. Fashion Week is where all the fashion designers of this country showcase their work as a work of art. A story that needs to be heard!

While i was FB-ing at home, and I bumb into one of the article shared by my friend. I need to share this article because i feel that we-malaysian needs to know.

How sad is this corrupted country, we may be pretty on the outside, but i can be pretty ugly and dirty at the inside.

A develop country like ours can be so corrupted and worse a real pity and shame for us as we call ourselves Malaysians.

No Justice, no jurisdiction, no protocol and worse No GUILT.

Even the courts are just merely for show, no actual documents, no filing, no NOTHING!

A story of corruption and police abuse

What started out as a regular night for a friend, whom I shall call Jack, and I, turned into something ugly. We and two dozen others were detained, handcuffed, jailed, degraded, stripped, extorted and shamed.

This is a story of corruption and police abuse.

It was a drug bust at a famous night club in Sri Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur. An incident that all of us, later proved innocent by hospital chemical tests, will never forget.

The entry (Sept 24 - 10.30pm)

It was a great day, in fact, a great week, I was looking forward to this weekend. Nothing special, just a night out for a glass of wine and to Soda, a popular club in the area. Nothing could have forewarned me of the humiliation that awaited.

Soda (12pm)

After the wine, we made our way to Soda. Some other friends were already there. We had a few more drinks, enjoyed the music and the company.

The raid (2am)

Came out from the washroom and there was a policeman on the microphone. It was a drug bust, he announced and nobody could leave until urine samples were taken and tested. Fine I thought. No problem, just quickly take my urine and get it tested so I could go out and grab something to eat.

Problem is, there were a few hundred of us in the club and they did the test 10 at a time. From the time of the raid, it would end up taking them more than two hours to check all of us.

My turn came and I did as instructed, urinated into the plastic container and handed it over for the ‘on-the-spot’ test. They dropped the container in the instant tester, left it in for about a minute. The result showed that I had tested positive for five of the six drugs on the list. I knew this was a mistake so naturally I remained calm.

I was then herded into a cordoned off area and had to wait till 7am for the police truck to pick us up. While waiting, we requested for a re-test but this was denied.

We were told that our urine samples were to be taken to a hospital laboratory for conclusive tests.

The pick up (7am)

After a long wait, the truck finally arrived at 7am. We were not told anything, we did not know what was going to happen. And when they did tell us, the policemen came out with different answers.

We got into the truck. It was degrading because we were law abiding citizens who had never done anything wrong, except probably speeding on the highway. And here we were, being herded into a police truck used for rounding up bad hats.

We were taken to the Kuala Lumpur police headquarters and made to sit on the floor until 11am. We were treated rudely, one policeman had even threatened to beat a fellow detainee. Mind you, we were all proved innocent in the end and these policemen in the narcotics department treated us like convicts and did not entertain any questions. We did not know our rights, we were not informed of our rights and the police took advantage of that.

We were later told to sign a document. When I tried to read the document, I was told off by a policeman. “No need to read the document,” he said. “Just sign!” Still in disbelief over what was happening but confident that it will be settled by the afternoon, I signed.

Till this day, I do not know what I signed.

At 11am we were again herded back into the blue truck. I did not know where they were taking us.

Pudu Jail (11am)

The truck took us to Pudu jail, the disused facility, which once housed murderers, rapists and drug dealers. This building was not built to house people like us. Think of your saddest moment, where your heart sinks and your spirit dies, and you would be able to relate to how we felt.

Most of us were still in denial. We still thought that everything will be fine and that we will be out soon.

We were placed in the prison yard and made to sit in rows of three. We had not eaten or drank since last night, but we were not hungry. Then a policeman showed up, a good ‘samaritan’. He offered us some bread and water and proceeded to collect RM10 from all of us. That would mean RM200 plus.

A few hours later we were put in handcuffs. Imagine being in a handcuff, chained together with all the others and led out into the street.

We were herded once again into a truck and brought before a magistrate.

The magistrate (1pm or so)

The magistrate was at the Cheras police station, we were told there that there was no chance for bail because it was a Sunday and the court was not open. I voiced my objection and requested for a re-test for obvious reasons. We were told that the magistrate was powerless to act on anything. All they did was read to us that we were suspected drug addicts and that we will be remanded for 12 days until a court date or bail was set. This was Monday at the earliest.

The entire proceeding was held while we were still in handcuffs and chained together. I was later told that when I left the room the lady magistrate had remarked, “All these rich kids, they are all like that”.

Even the magistrate was blissfully ignorant of what was happening and had decided on our guilt before a trial.

The proceeding was over within an hour and we were once again herded into the blue police truck.

Back to jail (2pm - till the next day)

We are back in jail. Shortly after, we were called to sit on the prison pavement again to wait for our prison clothes. Names were called out individually. Each person was called into a room to collect our prison clothes. It was a simple process yet took a long time. I did not know why until some of the accused came out of the room.

While in the room, the police offered a cigarette in apparent goodwill. So some of them took the offer. With such frayed nerves, anything was welcomed to help take the pain away. After the accused took the cigarette, RM10 was taken out of their wallets. A robbery had taken place, and the robbers were the policemen, and they were walking free… in jail.

They couldn’t steal from me though. Simply because I had no cash. I had passed them to Jack’s mother when she came earlier. So naturally they did not offer me a cigarette.

Prison clothes consisted of only a pair of track pants. Just a single piece. No shirt, no underwear and no shoes. We were to stay in prison with nothing else but a pair of pants.

When we made our way through the walkway into the main prison compound, we were in shock. All the prisons you have seen on TV were nothing compared to the horrid conditions of Pudu jail. Everybody in prison was frail thin and bony. The only fat people were the policemen. We were told to put our belongings into a cell and leave them there, we were then made to strip naked and squat in front of the other inmates. I had never done anything wrong in my life, why was I being treated this way?!! It was degrading. It angered me.

After that was out of the way, we were put six to a cell, measuring 2m by 3m. There were no beds, no toilet and no ventilation. Just concrete walls and a concrete platform. If you wanted to urinate, you had to do it in a bottle inside the cell.

It was now almost 6pm and all we had for three-quarter’s of a day was a small piece of bread and a small bottle of mineral water. Food finally came. It was indescribable. A pack of rice with a salted fish head measuring no more than 4cm and two pieces of vegetable no larger than a 50 sen coin. It was just meant to keep you alive. Just barely alive.

We just sat there for the rest of our stay, being let out only to bathe and defecate three times a day for 10 minutes. Some took the situation harder than me. Somehow, the anger had numbed me. So I joked and we talked, just to diffuse the situation and to allow ourselves to forget this experience.

Then there was more daylight robbery and corruption. We were told that our relatives could visit and that they could bring food and other condiments and supplies to us... for a price! Yes… they were asking for money even in jail. RM150 must be paid to them so the items could be brought in.

However, that does not guarantee that the items will reach us. I had friends whose relatives paid the police for the food to be brought in. A whole bucket of fried chicken was reduced to three pieces and a burger. Not only were the police corrupt, but they were sadistic and sick enough to eat the prisoners’ food. Why they were all fat was no longer a mystery.

Not only did we have to bribe them for food, but a single phone call cost RM150, which must be paid by the visiting relative or friend. Jack got away with RM50, supposedly credited to the policeman’s pre-paid line by his mother. Somehow the policeman missed it and even dared to SMS Jack’s mother after we got out, asking ‘where’s the money’. Not only was it daylight robbery, it was daring and I guess he must have felt invincible while wearing the police badge.

Take note that none of our parents or relatives were informed that we were being held. We had to personally call them.

We spent the night in prison, sleeping on our bare backs on the cold damp concrete floor. The air was stale, there were other inmates yelling ‘tolong..tolong’ (help...help).

It was a dreadful and excruciatingly slow night. All we had was each other.

The courthouse (Sept 26 – 8am)

Morning came and a large group of our parents, relatives and friends were waiting at the court house to bail us out. Most of them reached there early and were informed that the bail documents would be out first thing in the morning.

The bail documents only came out at 11am. And everybody was told that they had to open a bank account, deposit the bail money and make it back to the court house with all the paperwork in order by 12pm. That was exactly one hour.
Everyone rushed to the bank, one single bank with only a few operational lines. The queue was long and processing took forever. According to my loved ones, it was the most stressing time of their lives. Because if they did not make it back to the court house by 12, then I would have to stay another night in jail.

A few ended up having to stay another night. Keep in mind that 22 of us were proven to be innocent by clinical tests. Yet some of these wrongly accused people had to spend three days and two nights in prison.

We put on our civilian clothes and were once again handcuffed. Once again, my heart died and my soul withered. We were brought to the court and I was sickened once again by the antics of the policemen.

We were in the van going by the heart of Kuala Lumpur when these two escorting policemen slid open the window and started whistling at a woman walking down the street. These were our policemen. I was sickened to the bone.
We all reached the courthouse and were led through the street still in handcuffs and in full view of the public and our loved ones. We were told by the court that we will be set free on bail. We were given some documents informing us where and when to collect the results of the hospital tests for our urine and when to show up in court again.

We were told to collect our blood tests results from the Brickfields police station on Oct 2.

The recovery

I got out on Sept 26. I was driving past the Kuala Lumpur Twin Towers that night and I felt that it did not mean anything anymore. I used to be proud to be Malaysian, the twin towers used to be a source of pride. But now, all my nationalistic pride was gone, I had just been treated like a criminal by my own country. A country which I loved… used to love. I used to think that this country was beautiful. But now all I see is a country so currupted and dirty. No amount of washing will clean away this feeling.

The verdict (Oct 2)

It was time to collect our results. We showed up at the Brickfields police station where 22 of us were pronounced clean and had to make our way to the court house. I asked for documentation to state that we were clean. But the policemen said there was no documentation and that they would call the court house to inform them. No documentation in an advanced economy like ours, this was unacceptable.

Nevertheless, we all made our way to the court house and there, we were proclaimed innocent and free to go. Again, I asked for documentation to state that we were cleared of all charges and that we were free to go. But there was no documentation. No black and white. So technically, we had to trust the word of this court official, whose name or rank we did not know.

The anger (now till justice is served)

The 22 of us will never be the same again. Malaysia will never be the same again.

I was once a fun loving jovial person. Food no longer taste good, the sky seems perpetually cloudy and everybody I meet looks different.

My girlfriend had asked if this experience had changed me. I replied ‘maybe’... and she cried.

Exams is finally over, and so is studying... now is to wait for results to gradate. Diploma! I'm done!! and so is my associate! All I need to do now is wait...

My High SChool class mates would know this story. It's about a girl who, bright day light stole my handphone! We were having fun playing futsal at the court and left my stuff with her, as she was sitting at the bench watching us play.
After the eventful fytsal game, we went to rest, and she left early says she has tuiton. Right after she left, my phone was missing. It was really obvious that she stole it because, no one was there or passed by when we were playing, and she was touching my bag most of the time.
Friends even thought that bag was hers, but the real fact it, it was MINE. I was not that paranoid, as she was my friend and i trust her, and also i thouht she was just admiring my bag, so i didn't bother making a big fuss out of it.
It was clearly untrustable. SHe wasn't my class mate (thank GOD)
She usually coes to my class to hang out before the shool starts, as her friends are my classmates. After that incident, she never came over anymore.
From then on, i can't forgive what she has done to me, and she never did admit she stole it.
That is the Only Friendship that i Let go off.

oh.. and i would like to promote You Again on my Blog, the trailer looks realy good.
